Launch event - a ground-breaking recruitment and training service that brings employers and local job-ready candidates together

Birmingham City Council celebrates the North West City Jobs initiative with an official launch 3rd November at The Hub.

Councillor Ken Hardman, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said "This is an important initiative for residents and businesses in north-west Birmingham. It provides employers with a single point of contact that is very business-facing, with people who really do understand the pressures employers face. It also opens friendly doors to local communities that have been excluded from employment, with both pre- and post-selection interviews."

"The crux is really about helping unemployed people from one of the highest areas of unemployment in the country and coming up with the first practical solution where everyone wins."
Kyle Stott, Community Involvement & Training Coordinator
